Description
Scream Queen is a 1990s shot-on-video slasher directed by indie horror stalwart Brad Sykes, originally shot in 1998 and finished by producers in 2002. Considered a 'lost' Linnea Quigley film, it follows horror star Malicia Tombs (Linnea Quigley) whose mysterious death on the set of her latest low-budget shocker sets off a masked killer who hacks their way through the cast and crew. The film borrows from the Italian Giallo sub-genre while taking swift jabs at the US independent horror scene of the time. This Visual Vengeance / Wild Eye Releasing Blu-ray presents the film's first wide release on home video, featuring a new director-approved 480p SD master from original tape elements. Special features include audio commentary with writer/director Brad Sykes, the behind-the-scenes documentary Once Upon A Time In Horrorwood, the original producer's cut of Scream Queen as a bonus second feature, new Linnea Quigley and editor Mark Polonia interviews, image galleries, original trailer, Visual Vengeance trailers, six-page liner notes by Tony Strauss of Weng's Chop magazine, a collectible Linnea Quigley folded mini-poster, a reversible sleeve featuring original home video art, and optional English subtitles. Runtime is 78 minutes, presented in Fullscreen 1.33:1 with Stereo English audio, Unrated, Region Free.
