BRAINS!
They’re back from the grave and ready to party.
Trick or Treat Studios presents the officially licensed Return of the Living Dead Tarman Figure, complete with Snackin’ Brain, Trioxin Barrel and Trioxin Slime. Forty years after Dan O’Bannon turned the zombie movie into a punk rock comedy and gave the undead a one word vocabulary, the gooiest ghoul in horror history finally gets the carded figure he deserves.
Tarman is the one everybody remembers. Thin, dripping, impossibly fast, grinning like he knows something you do not, and absolutely singleminded about what is inside your skull. He crawled out of a leaking military drum in the basement of the Uneeda Medical Supply Company and straight into permanent residence in every horror fan’s nightmares.
What You Get
- Tarman figure, sculpted with that signature tar-slicked, skeletal, half-liquefied look
- Snackin’ Brain accessory, molded in gloriously fresh pink
- Trioxin Barrel with removable lid, the drum that started the whole mess
- Trioxin Slime, because a Tarman without ooze is just a skeleton with a bad attitude
- Packaged on a retro-style backer card with a plastic blister
Packaging Worth Keeping Sealed
The card design on this one is a standout. Rusted biohazard street-sign nameplate across the bottom, graveyard artwork, the original tagline up top, and a full back-of-card story panel walking through exactly how Frank and Freddy unleashed the menace all over again. It reads like it fell off a 1985 toy peg, which is the joke, because nobody would have dared carry this in a toy aisle back then.
The Team Behind It
Developed by Justin Mabry, Alexander Ray and Sam Furst, with the figure sculpted by Alexander Ray and packaging designed by Sam Furst. Ray is the sculptor behind some of Trick or Treat Studios’ most praised recent work, including the Scream Greats Pumpkinhead, and the same eye for texture and creature anatomy shows up all over this piece. Officially licensed through Living Dead Media.
Who This Is For
Return of the Living Dead diehards, Tarman obsessives, 80s punk horror collectors, practical effects devotees, retro-carded figure hunters, and anyone who has ever screamed the word “brains” at a friend across a room and had them immediately understand the reference.
