Description
Reefer Madness is the notorious 1936 anti-drug exploitation film that became a midnight-movie cult classic. Presented as a high-minded educational warning, it follows a group of innocent teens drawn into a world of reefers, red hot jazz and the madness that follows, all framed by a crusader's lecture to concerned parents. It was directed by Louis Gasnier and produced by George A. Hirliman for G&H Productions. The cast includes Dorothy Short, Kenneth Craig, Lillian Miles, Dave O'Brien and Thelma White. This is the 1999 Kino Video VHS release from the Forbidden Fruit: The Golden Age of the Exploitation Film series, presented in black and white with a running time of about 65-66 minutes. It comes in a printed cardboard slipcase sleeve with the series artwork, and the tape carries the Kino Video label.
