Description
Casino Royale is the 1967 all-star James Bond spoof, a freewheeling spy comedy loosely based on Ian Fleming's first 007 novel. In it, the retired Sir James Bond is coaxed back into Her Majesty's Secret Service to take down the villainous organization SMERSH and the baccarat-playing Le Chiffre. Produced by Charles K. Feldman, the film was directed by a team that included John Huston, Ken Hughes, Val Guest, Robert Parrish and Joseph McGrath. It stars David Niven, Peter Sellers, Ursula Andress, Woody Allen, Orson Welles, Joanna Pettet and Deborah Kerr, with appearances by William Holden, Charles Boyer, Jean-Paul Belmondo and George Raft. This is the Columbia TriStar Home Video VHS release in a cardboard slipcase with the classic illustrated poster artwork on the front. The tape is in NTSC format, presented in color with VHS Hi-Fi sound, rated PG, with a running time of approximately 130 minutes. It is a fun piece for Bond collectors and fans of 1960s cult comedies.
