Description
Cannibal Holocaust is Ruggero Deodato's infamous 1980 Italian horror film, presented as the recovered 'found footage' of a group of documentary filmmakers who vanish deep in the South American rainforest while filming a savage flesh-eating tribe. One of the most notorious and heavily censored films ever made, it stars Robert Kerman, Carl Yorke and Francesca Ciardi. This is the Grindhouse Releasing 3-Disc Deluxe Edition, containing 2 Blu-rays plus a bonus CD. It features a new hi-definition digital restoration of the original director's cut, a digital stereo re-mix and the original mono mix, and commentary tracks with director Ruggero Deodato and star Robert Kerman, plus Carl Yorke and Francesca Ciardi. Also included are new in-depth interviews with Deodato, Francesca Ciardi, assistant director Salvo Basile and cameraman Roberto Forges Davazati, along with classic interviews, extensive still galleries and theatrical trailers. The set comes with a 24-page booklet of liner notes by Eli Roth and horror journalist Chas. Balun, and a bonus CD of Riz Ortolani's newly remastered soundtrack album.
