A Night to Remember is the acclaimed 1958 British dramatization of the sinking of the RMS Titanic, based on the book by Walter Lord. Told largely through the eyes of Second Officer Charles Lightoller, the film presents a panorama of shipboard life from first class suites to steerage as the great luxury liner strikes an iceberg five days into its maiden voyage. It stars Kenneth More, with a screenplay by Eric Ambler, produced by William MacQuitty and directed by Roy Baker. Presented by The Rank Organisation, this VHS release is a Hallmark Home Entertainment edition running 123 minutes in color and black and white. The film is widely regarded as one of the finest accounts of the Titanic disaster ever brought to screen.
